"Doctor Yellow" Bullet Train Bento

"Doctor Yellow" Bullet Train Bento

This is easy to make with eggs!

Hot cooked white rice
one child-size rice bowl's worth
a small amount
Furikake rice sprikles and other ingredients
as needed
Nori (dried seaweed sheet)
as needed
a small amount

1. Make an usuyaki tamago (thin crepe-like omelette). (This is easy if you use a bit of egg from a tamagoyaki rolled omelette side dish.)
2. Add whatever ingredients you like to the warm rice, wrap in plastic wrap, and shape into a bullet train.
3. Wrap the shaped rice in the usuyaki tamago (thin omelet), then lightly press onto the rice using plastic wrap.
4. Once the rice cools, stick on the cut nori with mayonnaise, and it's finished.

Story Behind this Recipe

I made this in response to my child's request for me to make "Dr. Yellow" (the nickname for a high speed test train in Japan).
