Very Delicious Stir-fried Tofu with Shimeji Mushrooms and Salt

A very simple stir-fry seasoned just with salt. Very easy and very tasty. Good with sake.

Ingredients

Firm tofu
1 block
Shimeji mushrooms
1 bag
Green scallion
as needed
Katakuriko
for coating the tofu
Vegetable oil
1 tablespoon
Sake
1 tablespoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper
a pinch

Steps

1. Drain the tofu very well and remove any excess moisture by patting it lightly with paper towels.
2. Thinly coat the dried tofu with katakuriko.
3. Heat the oil in the frying pan. Place the tofu in the pan and fry over low heat.
4. Brown one side, turn over and brown the other side.
5. Add shimeji mushrooms and sake. Fry until wilted. Season with salt to taste.
6. Add black pepper to taste and serve straight away!
