Spicy Scallion and Char Siu

Do you have mediocre char siu lying around? This recipe brings it back to life. Great as a drinking appetizer,or as a ramen noodles topping, or as a side dish for rice porridge.

Ingredients: 3 ~ 4 servings

Char siu
100 g
1/2 stalk
1/2 teaspoon
1/2 teaspoon
Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
White sesame seeds
to your liking


1. Slice the scallions very thinly and soak in water. You can also shred the white part of the scallions. (In that case, use a whole stalk.Don't forget to soak in water.)
2. In the meantime, julienne the char siu.
3. Wipe excess water from the scallion with paper towels. Mix well with char siu, ra-yu, and sesame oil.
4. Serve on a plate, and sprinkle white sesame seeds.

The char siu that I was given as a gift was lacking punch, so I transformed it.
