Ground beef
200 g
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Sugar
1 and 1/2 tablespoon
Sake
1 teaspoon
Mirin
1 teaspoon

Steps

1. Add all of the ingredients to a small pot, and simmer on medium heat for 6-8 minutes.
2. It's done once most of the moisture has cooked off.
3. Divide into small portions and freeze ♪

This meat simmer is very convenient.
I've been making it ever since I've lived in Japan, and then freezing it for later use ♪
It's a bit sweet and salty, so if you combine it with some udon in light dashi stock, it'll taste just right. Also if you use it in fried rice, the flavor mixes into the rice and it'll become delicious.
