Creamy Crumbled Tofu, Egg and Melted Cheese Rice Bowl

Easy to digest tofu in egg mixed with creamy melting cheese make this dish into a mild and well rounded flavor. This can be made in no time in the morning for a very nutritious breakfast.

Ingredients: 2 servings

☆ Water
☆ Dashi stock granules
1/2 teaspoon
☆ Mentsuyu (3x concentrate)
2 tablespoons
☆ Sugar
1 teaspoon
Silken tofu
100 g
Melting cheese
20 g
Plain cooked rice
160 g


1. Add the ingredients marked ☆ to a frying pan. Add the tofu while crumbling it, and cook over medium-low heat.
2. Beat the eggs and add the cheese.
3. When the contents of the frying pan are bubbling, add the beaten egg from step 2. Put a lid on and cook until the egg is soft-set.
4. A creamy soft finish.
5. Put some rice in a bowl, spoon plenty of the egg-tofu mixture on top and serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I did a variation on my "Chinese cabbage and pork with egg and cheese" recipe, using easy to digest and nutritious tofu instead of the meat and cabbage.
