Sweet and Spicy Simmered Cabbage Rice Bowl

Consume lots of fiber in this Korean seasoned sweet-spicy simmered cabbage dish.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Hot cooked rice
1 serving
2~3 leaves
★Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
★ Sugar
1/2 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
★ Doubanjiang
to taste
Easy melting cheese
to taste
Egg yolk (or a soft poached egg)
Nori seaweed, sesame seeds, mayonnaise
to taste


1. Slice the cabbage roughly. Combine the ★ ingredients.
2. Heat the oil in a frying pan and fry the cabbage. Add the ★ ingredients.
3. After cooking through, add the cheese and cover with a lid. Simmer over low heat.
4. When the cheese melts, it is done. Transfer on hot cooked rice and place the egg yolk on top. Garnish with nori or mayonnaise if you like.
5. Done.
