Scallion-Mayonnaise with Pork Rice Bowl

You can make this in 10 minutes using the seasonings you already have on hand! You could also use pork offcuts or sliced beef.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Pork (thinly sliced for shabu-shabu)
100 g
Onion
1/4
● Water
140 ml
● Dashi stock granules
1/2 teaspoon
● Mirin
2 teaspoons
● Soy sauce
2 teaspoons
Plain cooked rice
1 bowlful
Scallions
1-2 stalks
Mayonnaise
to taste

Steps

1. Put the water in a small frying pan and bring to a boil. Add the dashi stock granules, and thinly sliced onion. When it comes to a boil, add the mirin and soy sauce and simmer for 3 minutes.
2. While it's cooking, chop the scallions finely, and serve rice in a bowl.
3. When the onion has cooked through, add the pork and cook through while flipping. As soon as the pork changes color, turn off the heat.
4. Put the mixture evenly on top of the bed of rice. Add the chopped scallions and squirt mayonnaise on top.

My children were asking for a meaty rice bowl with scallions mayonnaise, so I prepared this with ingredients I had at hand.
