Spicy Simmered Shirataki Noodles and Shimeji Mushrooms

This is a low-calorie side dish item. Perfect for a snack! A subtle spicy accent with red chili peppers.

Ingredients: 3 to 4 servings

Shirataki (konnyaku noodles)
1 pack (180 g)
Shimeji mushrooms
1 clump (100 g)
Dashi stock
200 ml
1/2 tablespoon
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Red chili peppers (thinly sliced into rounds)
as needed


1. Boil the shirataki noodles (or simply rinse in hot water) and cut into easy-to-eat lengths.
2. Shred the shimeji mushrooms.
3. Add dashi stock and seasoning ingredients to a pot, bring to a boil, and add shirataki noodles and the shimeji mushrooms.
4. Add red chili peppers and simmer on medium heat for about 10 minutes, then serve.
