Stir-fried Brussels Sprouts and Prawns with Garlic

Sweet Brussels sprouts and plump prawns are very appetizing.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Brussels sprouts

Prawns (frozen is fine)
100 g
Garlic (finely chopped)
1 clove
Vegetable oil (for frying)
1 tablespoon
Salt
a pinch
Pepper
a small amount
Oyster sauce
1 teaspoon
Sake (for seasoning)
a small amount

Steps

1. Rinse the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half. Remove veins form the prawns and rinse with sake. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
2. Heat the vegetable oil in a frying pan and stir-fry the garlic and prawns over high heat.
3. Add the Brussels sprouts and fry quickly over high heat. Season with salt, pepper, and oyster sauce.

Story Behind this Recipe

I bought a lot of Brussels sprouts, so I tried stir-frying them with various ingredients. While garlic certainly goes well with Brussels sprouts, I discovered that seafood goes better with Brussels sprouts than meat.
This stir-fry is cooked quickly over high heat, so it's perfect for when you're in a hurry.
