BLT Egg Sandwich

A hearty sandwich with a spicy grain mustard and chili sauce flavour. Perfect for picnics or brunch.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Sliced bacon
2 rashers
1-2 leaves
Sliced tomato
2-3 slices
2 slices
Grain mustard
as needed
Chili sauce
as needed


1. Fry the bacon until crispy. Fry a sunny side up.
2. While you are waiting, cut the lettuce to the same size as the bread, and slice the tomatoes. Toast the bread.
3. Spread chili sauce on one slice of the toasted bread, and grain mustard on the other.
4. Top with the lettuce, tomato, bacon and fried egg. Close the sandwich, and it's done.
5. It is hearty, so cut it into your desired size.

Story Behind this Recipe

When I was on a growth spurt, my mother used to always made this for my breakfast. She didn't add mayonnaise, only chili sauce. I added grain mustard. Now, this enough for my lunch.
