Microwaved Chinese-Style Steamed Chicken

Easy steamed Chinese-style chicken that you make just using a microwave oven. Serve with plenty of chopped green onion on top.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Chicken thigh
1 (about 250 g)
Green onion (chopped thinly)
50 g
A. Mix together the following:
Soy sauce
2 1/2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
1 teaspoon
Sesame oil
1 teaspoon


1. Cut the chicken into 1cm wide strips; add the ingredients listed under A and massage in lightly. Put it all into a heatproof container, cover with plastic wrap and microwave for 5 minutes at 500 W.
2. Take the plastic wrap off, add the chopped green onion, replace the wrap and let rest for 3 minutes, and it's done.
3. You can transfer it to a serving dish, or just bring it to table as-is.

I thought that the sauce for "Cold Steamed Eggplant" (Recipe ID: 1240481) would go well with steamed chicken so I tried it out, and it was even better than I imagined.
