My Grandmother's Sautéed Cod

My Grandmother's Sautéed Cod

I'm not good at arranging it nicely on the dish, but I have confidence in the flavor. It's unbelievably delicious.

Ingredients: 2 servings

2 pieces
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Cake flour
as needed
Butter for sauteing the cod
5 grams
Vegetable oil
2 teaspoons
● Soy sauce
2 teaspoons
● Sake
1 teaspoon
● Mirin
1 tablespoon
● Butter for the sauce
5 grams

1. Salt and pepper the cod (using plenty of salt and pepper will give it a better flavor).
2. After that, dredge the cod with cake flour.
3. Mix the ● ingredients.
4. Add the butter for sauteing and the vegetable oil to a frying pan and saute the cod. When both sides are browned, remove the cod from the pan.
5. To the frying pan from Step 4, add the butter for the sauce and the ● ingredients and bring to a boil.
6. When the sauce comes to a boil, add the cod and give it a good coating.

Story Behind this Recipe

This recipe was passed down to me by my grandmother. I'm uploading it here so I can remember it. She used to make this for me from time to time. It's a western-style dish.
