Rice and Cheese Bake with Kimchi

Cheese reduces the spiciness of kimchi and gives it a milder taste. This dish is full of umami thanks to the kimchi, and is also a great way of making a bowl of plain rice a lot tastier!


Cooked white rice
1 rice bowl's worth
Chinese cabbage kimchi
30-50 g
Pizza cheese
30-50 g
1 teaspoon
Finely chopped parsley
as needed


1. Place the hot cooked rice in a heatproof dish, and put the butter on top.
2. Spread kimchi on the rice, and sprinkle with the cheese, then parsley.
3. Bake until the cheese is browned, then you're done.

I came up with this recipe to use up some kimchi, which I bought a whole kilogram of while it was on sale.
