Slice hanpen into 9 pieces, however big as you like. Make them smaller for bento lunch boxes.
Wrap pork in hanpen and tighten, season with salt and pepper, and sprinkle in flour.
Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan and tightly wrap rolls one more time before arranging them in the pan.
After roasting on one side, flip over and cook evenly to a crispness, changing the direction.
After they are evenly roasted, wipe away excess oil with a paper towel, then add the sauce.
Coat the pork in the sauce while simmering.
Sprinkle with white sesame seeds, then eat up!
Story Behind this Recipe
Since I love white hanpen fishcakes, I thought hanpen-wrapped pork rolls would be tasty. As I suspected, the combination of the crispy pork and the fluffy hanpen was delicious.
It helps to use a tea strainer when sprinkling the flour. When roasting, try not to agitate the pork rolls with chopsticks, otherwise they may unravel. It's best to slowly roast each side. Even when cool, these are delicous and cute little rolls that go perfectly in a bento lunch box.
