Homemade Tomato Hot Pot

All you need to do is add your favorite veggies and simmer!
Use the leftovers for omurice (rice omelette).

Ingredients: 4 servings

Chicken thighs
300 g
Wiener sausages

★ Canned tomatoes
2 cans
★ Water
2 cups (400 ml)
★ Grated garlic
2 teaspoons
★ Consommé, cubed type

★ Chicken soup stock granules
1 tablespoon
★ Salt
1 teaspoon
★ Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
1 tablespoon
★ Bay leaf
1
★ Sugar
1 tablespoon

Steps

1. Add the ★ ingredients to the pot and bring to a boil.
2. Heat olive oil in a frying pan, lightly sauté the other ingredients, then add to the pot all at once.
3. When the ingredients are cooked through, it's ready to serve!
4. Note: If you reverse Steps 1 and 2, you can make it all in one pot!
5. Add rice to the leftovers, whisk in a beaten eggs and top with melting cheese. Sprinkle on dried basil and you have an "omurice-style risotto".

Story Behind this Recipe

I didn't have a ready-made mix for a tomato-based hot pot... and I thought I could make it with what I have on hand!
