Juicy Chicken Nuggets Made with Chicken Breast

Kara-age flour makes this chicken soft and juicy. These healthy chicken nuggets made without ground chicken and are not fried, so they're easy to make and healthy.


Chicken breast
Plain cake flour
1 1/2 tablespoons
Kara-age flour (store bought)
1 tablespoon
Curry powder
1 teaspoon
1 teaspoon
Grated garlic (or powdered garlic)
a small amount
Salt and pepper


1. Beat the egg in a small bowl. Add all ingredients to the bowl except for the chicken.
2. Mix gently with chopsticks. It's ok if there are some lumps.
3. Remove the chicken skin and cut the chicken into pieces on the diagonal, cutting the fibers as you do so. (I cut off the skin and use it to make Recipe ID: 2017270)
4. Make sure the chicken pieces are equal in size.
5. Add the chicken to the bowl from Step 2. (If you have time, you can keep the marinated chicken refrigerated at this stage and cook it right before eating)
6. Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil (not on ingredient list). Add the chicken and cook for about 2 minutes. Flip and cook for 2 more minutes.
7. When the chicken is done cooking, remove it from the pan and place on paper towels. Plate and enjoy with your favorite sauce.

Story Behind this Recipe

I've been trying to increase my repertoire of delicious recipes for inexpensive chicken breast. This is one of the recipes I came up with. Kids really love this dish.
