Celebratory Red and White Namasu (Marinated Daikon and Carrot Salad) for New Year's

I always make extra since it's surprisingly popular.

Ingredients: 3 to 4 servings

Daikon radish
500 g
Carrot
50 g
Salt to rub
2 teaspoons
Sugar
2 tablespoons
Vinegar
3 tablespoons

Steps

1. Julienne daikon and carrot with the slicer.
2. Rub with salt in a bowl and squeeze out excess water without rinsing (don't squeeze too tight).
3. In a storage container, mix sugar and vinegar well. Toss with the daikon and carrot until the flavor is well blended and serve.
