Quick Beef Stroganoff made in a Fry Pan

This can be made with just 1 frying pan. There's no need for long simmering, and you can use everyday ingredients to make this delicious restaurant style dish. The buttered rice can be made easily in a rice cooker too!

Ingredients: 4 servings

Thinly sliced beef
300 g
1 large
Mushrooms (shimeji or others)
as much as you like
Canned crushed tomatoes
1/2 can (200 g)
1 clove
1 tablespoon
1 cup (200 ml)
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Japanese Worcestershire Sauce
2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
Sour cream
50 g
For the buttered rice:
3 rice cooker cups - 480 ml
1 1/2 tablespoons
Dried parsley
To taste
Salt and pepper
To taste


1. Wash the rice, set the rice cooker with the same amount of water as usual and add butter. Cook as usual. When it's done, mix the dried parsley, salt and pepper.
2. Put 1 tablespoon of butter in a frying pan. Saute the sliced onions until golden brown.
3. Add the beef and mushrooms, and saute until cooked
4. Add the canned tomatoes and finely chopped garlic, and saute until the tomato is cooked.
5. Add the soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and ketchup, and mix. Add the milk and bring to a boil.
6. Add the sour cream, heat through for 2 minutes and it's done!
