Marinated Tuna Rice Bowl

You can just use white rice. This is a filling rice bowl with marinated tuna and grated yam. Give this a try when lean tuna sashimi is on sale!

Tuna (lean sashimi grade)
120 g
Yamaimo
6 tablespoons
Leek
1/10
White rice
2 bowls' worth
Marinade
Mentsuyu
2 tablespoons
Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
Vinegar
1 teaspoon
Wasabi (to taste)
2/3 teaspoons
Grated sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon

Steps

1. Mix the marinade ingredients and marinate the thinly sliced tuna.
2. Top the grated yamaimo and leek on a bowl of white rice.
3. Top with the marinated tuna with the marinade, and it's done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I like grated yamaimo and marinated tuna over rice.
This is the dish I make when I'm able to obtain cheap lean tuna.
There's vinegar in the marinade, so you don't have to make sushi rice. It's easy and quick to prepare.
