Put room temperature eggs in a small sauce pan and cover with boiling water. Cook for 5-7 minutes over medium heat. Soak the eggs in water for a while before peeling.
If you cook eggs straight from the fridge, soak in warm water before cooking.
Cook 3 minutes for very soft-boiled eggs. Cook around 10 minutes for regular soft-boiled eggs. Cook about 12 minutes for hard-boiled eggs.
If you cook with cold water, estimate time will be about 7 minutes after it starts boiling.
Story Behind this Recipe
This is a favorite in my family.
Step 2: If you put cold eggs into the boiling water, they will crack easily while cooking. Step 3: Please adjust the boiling time for your favourite yolk set. Try stirring with chopsticks. The yolk will set in the center. You can also add eggs into already boiling hot water, but please use a ladle to place them in gently.
