Halloween Character Bento: Simmered Kabocha Jack O'Lanterns

If you use kabocha that you simmered the day before, you can make these Jack o'Lanterns in 3 minutes.

Ingredients

Simmered kabocha squash (with the rind)
1 wedge

Steps

1. Remove the rind of the simmered kabocha. Wrap the flesh in plastic wrap and form into a pumpkin shape. Use a toothpick or chopstick to carve lines on the pumpkin on top of the wrap.
2. Use a knife to cut the peel into eye and mouth shapes. Press them in gently and it's all set!
