Natto and Cream Cheese on Rice

This is one of the easiest dishes to whip up, but I swear, it's really delicious. All you need to do is add cream cheese to your regular bowl of natto and rice.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Natto (fermented soy beans), packaged with sauce and Japanese mustard
1 pack
Cream cheese
20 g
Green onion (finely chopped)
as desired
Bonito flakes
as desired
Freshly made rice
1 small rice bowl's worth


1. Mix the sauce and Japanese mustard into the natto (stir well). Dice your cream cheese into cubes.
2. Top your natto, cream cheese, chopped green onions, bonito flakes on a bowl of freshly cooked rice. Mix the ingredients together a little bit as you enjoy your meal. Drizzle on a bit of soy sauce as desired.

Story Behind this Recipe

This has been one of my favorite ways of having natto for a long time. It's so easy that it's hard to call a recipe, but I ended up eating some today so I took a picture and wrote down how to make it.
