Easy Fluffy Waffle Custard Sandwich

Easy Fluffy Waffle Custard Sandwich

This is an easy version of my fluffy waffle custard sandwich recipe. Another version of the custard waffle recipe can be found at Recipe ID: 1989152.

Ingredients: 3-4 servings

Granulated sugar
50 g
Cake flour
40 g
Butter (unsalted)
8 g
Vanilla oil
a few drops

1. Bring the egg to room temperature and put into a bowl with the sugar. Put the bowl over a double boiler and mix with a hand mixer.
2. When the egg and sugar mix is thick and you can draw ribbons on the surface of the batter with it, add in the sifted flour a little at a time.
3. Spoon out 1/3 of the batter and mix with the melted butter. Return the mixture to the rest of the batter and add the vanilla oil. Mix until evenly incorporated.
4. Heat your waffle maker, then pour the mix into it. Once cooled, cut neatly and they're done! You can add cocoa powder to the batter for chocolate waffles!

Story Behind this Recipe

Since buying a waffle maker, I've been coming up with various recipes.

These would be a great homemade gift!

I figure it's easier to make one batter rather than 2 separate ones, as in the original recipe, but do what works best for you!
