Everyone Loves This Meat Sauce (Bolognese)

My specialty is Italian dishes. It'd like to introduce you to this authentic meat sauce (bolognese) using whole canned tomatoes.

Ingredients: 3 servings

300 g
Ground meat (beef/pork combination)
Onions (finely chopped)
1 (medium size)
Olive oil
1 tablespoon
Canned whole tomatoes
1 can (400g)
Red wine
60ml (4 tablespoons)
Flavoring ingredients - A
2 tablespoons
Japanese Worcestershire-style sauce
2 tablespoons
Soup stock granules
2 teaspoons
Salt and pepper
a small amount

1. Saute the chopped onion in olive oil in low to medium heat until caramelized (about 20 minutes).
2. Add the ground meat and saute over low to medium heat (about 5 minutes).
3. Add the red wine and turn the heat up to high to evaporate the alcohol.
4. Add the canned tomatoes (crushed in a blender or by a hand) and slowly bring to a boil over low heat. When it comes to a boil, simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
5. Add the flavoring ingredients - A and adjust the seasoning.
6. Bring water to the boil, add salt and cook the pasta.
7. Cook the pasta for 30 seconds less than the cooking time on the package. Drain the pasta, and toss with olive oil (not listed).
8. Transfer the pasta to serving plates, pour the sauce the sauce over it and serve.

Story Behind this Recipe

I used to cook pasta dishes with canned tomatoes, but I thought I could make tastier meat sauce than the usual. So I got the idea to combine the sauce you usually serve on hamburger steaks with canned whole tomatoes.
