Try Them in Your Bento Easy Our Family's Kara-age

I made a single serving of our family's favorite kara-age for a bento lunch box.
It's easy and tasty even after it cools.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Chicken thigh
3 fillets
Seasoning ingredients:
Soy sauce
1 teaspoon
Sake
1 teaspoon
Shio-koji (optional)
1 teaspoon
Sugar
a pinch
Grated garlic
1/4 teaspoon
Grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon
Katakuriko
2 teaspoons

Steps

1. Chop the chicken into 2-3 pieces to fit your bento box.
2. Add all the other seasoning ingredients (except for the katakuriko) and mix together .
3. Right before deep frying, add the katakuriko to the mixture, deep fry in oil, then it's ready.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted a reference for a recipe for kara-age, a standard bento item.
It's easy to make a small portion of these.
