Slice the sausages diagonally. Heat the oil in a pan, and fry the sausage until browned.
Sprinkle on a generous amount of cracked black pepper. The sausages are done when they are close to becoming burnt.
If you have the time, top them with a sunny-side-up egg. The creaminess of the egg yolk is divine.
Story Behind this Recipe
These look great when my hubby makes them. They get gobbled up in an instant when the kids are around. After carefully watching him make them, I put together this recipe.
The key is to brown the sausages very well. Also use plenty of cracked black pepper. My hubby often tops the sausages with sunny-side-up eggs. This goes great with beer. He makes 3 sausages, and leaves one for me, so I suppose that's his way of sharing them.
