Kimchi Jjigae for One

Kimchi Jjigae for One

All of a sudden, I had a craving for kimchi jjigae, so I made this simple, single-serving hot pot with kimchi, tofu, and scallions. The key to this recipe is the tuna.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Chinese cabbage kimchi
as needed
1 block
Green onions or scallions
a small amount
as needed
Canned tuna
1 can
Plain cooked rice
1 rice bowl worth (130 g)

1. Put the kimchi with its juice into a pot with tofu and water, then heat. Once it is heated, add the drained tuna and scallions, then serve.
2. If it's too spicy, add a bit of miso, or if it's too mild, add more of the juice from the kimchi. You can also use ready-made kimchi hot pot stock or kimchi stock.

Story Behind this Recipe

A Korean celebrity said that the combination of kimchi and tuna is the best, and I've been putting it in ever since.
