Juicy Fried Chicken - Freeze This For Your Bento

This is delicious even when cold because it's properly seasoned. If you're in a hurry in the morning, just pop this in the microwave.

Ingredients: 2 chicken breasts worth

Chicken breasts
1 tablespoon
1 teaspoon
1/4 teaspoon
Frying oil
as needed
The coating:
*Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
1/2 tablespoon
*Sesame oil
1 teaspoon
*Grated garlic
to taste
*Squeezed ginger juice (or grated ginger)
1 teaspoon
*Shichimi spice
as needed
8 tablespoons


1. Cut the chicken into your desired sizes and put it in a bowl. Add in the sake, sugar and salt in and rub it in well.
2. Next, add in the * seasoning ingredients for the coating and rub it in well. If you have time, then try to let it sit for a bit to really lock in the flavor.
3. Next, add in the beaten egg and katakuriko. Mix with your hands until it's no longer lumpy.
4. ※ Depending on the size of the egg, adjust the amount of katakuriko that you use. Adjust until the coating reaches your desired thickness and smoothness.
5. Next, take out the pieces of chicken one by one and deep fry in oil on medium heat. (If you cook it on high, the coating burns easily).
6. Once they have cooled, put them in a freezer bag and then put them in the freezer.
7. If you're going to use it in a bento, heat it up in the microwave.
