I recommend you use a Teflon or a non-stick frying pan. Oil will come out of the meat, so fry the ground beef without oil.
Add vegetable juice and white wine (or cooking sake) until the meat is covered.
Add consomme and curry powder, mixing in an appropriate amount at a time, and fry until the juice evaporates.
Once it has evaporated, pour soy sauce, transfer to a serving plate with rice, and it's ready to eat!
Story Behind this Recipe
My friend taught me how to make this, and it was so good that I posted it here. It's a great fool-proof dish!!
It's best with a generous amount of curry powder. It's nice with tomato juice instead of vegetable juice too. It's a simple dish with few ingredients, but if you like, you can add finely chopped green peppers, mixed vegetables or soy beans.
