Steak Rice Bowl with Wasabi Sauce

I made a Japanese-style steak rice bowl with wasabi sauce and nori topping.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Beef steak
2 steaks
a small amount
a small amount
Beef tallow (or vegetable oil)
to taste
☆Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
1/2 tablespoon
☆Wasabi paste
1-2 cm
Hot cooked rice
as needed
Roasted nori seaweed
1 sheet


1. Combine all of the ☆ ingredients. Heat the beef tallow in the frying pan and pan-fry the seasoned beef steak over high heat until browned.
2. When it has become a delicious looking brown, flip over, lower the heat a small amount, and continue frying. When both sides have browned nicely, remove from the pan and wrap in aluminum foil.
3. Add the combined ☆ ingredients to the frying pan with the leftover meat juices and boil until the sauce thickens.
4. Fill a bowl with rice and top with shredded nori. Cut the steaks into bite-sized pieces and place on top of the nori. Cover with the sauce.
