Egg over Rice with Shio-Kombu

It's typical to use soy sauce to flavor egg on rice, but using shio-kombu instead will challenge that standard. Try this new way of eating egg over rice.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Shio-kombu
5 g (to taste)
Plain cooked rice
1 bowl (200 g)
Egg
1
White sesame seeds
2 tablespoons (to taste)
Sesame oil
2 teaspoons
Mitsuba

Myoga ginger

Steps

1. Mix the egg, white sesame seeds, and sesame oil into the rice until well combined.
2. Transfer to a rice bowl, garnish with mitsuba and myoga ginger, sprinkle with shio-kombu and serve .

Story Behind this Recipe

Since I wanted to try a taste other than soy sauce with my egg on rice, I gave Fujikko brand's shio-kombu a try.
