Authentic Non-fried Sweet N' Sour Pork

This is an easy sweet n' sour pork dish seasoned with black vinegar and oyster sauce and whipped up in one pan! You can leave that ketchup in the fridge.

Ingredients: 4 servings

Pork shoulder block (loin or ham is OK)
300 g
1 large
Green peppers
Shiitake mushroom
2 pieces
○Dashi soy sauce (for seasoning the meat)
2 teaspoons
to taste
Finely chopped garlic
1 clove
100 ml
☆Oyster sauce
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
☆Soy sauce
1 tablespoon
☆Dashi soy sauce (soy sauce premixed with dashi)
1 tablespoon
☆Black Vinegar
3 tablespoons
1 tablespoon
☆Chicken soup stock granules
1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
☆Squeezed ginger juice
1 teaspoon
Sesame oil (for stir frying)
1 tablespoon


1. Cut the pork into 3 cm chunks, rub with the ○ dashi soy sauce, and let sit for 15 minutes. Cut the onions, green peppers, and shiitake mushrooms into 3 cm cubes, and thinly slice the carrots.
2. Coat the pork with the ○ katakuriko, coat a pan with sesame oil, and cook until golden brown. Once the pork has cooked through, remove from the pan.
3. Add oil to the same pan, sauté the minced garlic until aromatic and turn it up to strong heat, add the rest of the vegetables, and sauté briefly.
4. Once the veggies have cooked through, add the meat back into the pan, add the pre-mixed ☆ ingredients, let thicken, and it is done!
