How to Make Mayonnaise (Japanese Mustard Version)

This is a great Japanese mustard mayonnaise that you can use on bread, sandwiches, or to add zing to a potato salad.

Ingredients: An easy-to-make amount

Egg yolk
1
Oil
150-165 ml
Sugar
1 teaspoon
Japanese mustard
2 and 1/2 teaspoons
Vinegar
1 teaspoon
Lemon juice
1 teaspoon
Salt
1/2 teaspoon
Pepper
a small amount

Steps

1. Combine all of the ingredients except for the oil with an electric mixer. Gradually mix in the oil, a little at a time.
2. Be careful to add only a little oil at a time; if you add too much at once, it will separate. It will slowly turn into mayonnaise.
3. Adjust the amount of Japanese mustard to your desired degree of spiciness.
