Bread Made With Calpis

Bread Made With Calpis

This isn't intended to use up leftover Calpis, but putting Calpis in bread is really good.

Ingredients: 1 loaf

Calpis Water
175 ml
Bread (strong) flour
220 g
Rice Flour (or any type of flour)
30 g
Caster Sugar
18 g
2.5 g
Skim milk
5 g
Butter (unsalted or salted)
18 g
Instant Dry Yeast
3 g

1. Pour the Calpis Water into the bread maker first.
2. On top of the Calpis, pile in the bread flour and other flour like a mountain.
3. Arrange the sugar, salt, skim milk, and butter around the mountain.
4. Push down with your finger at the top of the mountain to create a crater-like hole. Fill in the hole with the yeast.
5. Start the Quick Bake course on the bread maker.

Story Behind this Recipe

I planned to use milk, but was drawn in by the Calpis sitting next to it and decided to try using that instead. It was more delicious than I expected.
Now if it doesn't include Calpis, it feels like something's missing and is unsatisfying.
You can arrange this recipe in different ways.
