Easy Teriyaki Chicken For Your Lunch Box or A Cherry Blossom Party

This teriyaki chicken goes well with rice. It's perfect for your lunch box. The sauce is thickened with katakuriko potato starch flour and coats the chicken pieces well. It won't leak into your lunch box!

Ingredients: For 5 lunch box portions

Chicken thigh
1
Salt and pepper
a small amount
Katakuriko
1 tablespoon plus
★Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
★Sugar
1 tablespoon
★Sake
1 tablespoon
★Mirin
1 tablespoon

Steps

1. Trim off the excess fat (it's not good for your health!) and cut into small pieces.
2. Put the chicken into a plastic bag with salt and pepper. Mix well.
3. Add the katakuriko and some air. Shake the bag vigorously!
4. Fry the prepared chicken in a frying pan until golden brown and flip over. Continue to cook with a lid on.
5. After both sides are golden brown, add the mixed ★ seasonings and allow the sauce to coat the chicken pieces well! (You can freeze them.)

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to make a teriyaki chicken that was nice and tender even after cooling. I seasoned the chicken to my liking.
