Discard the ends of the okra, sprinkle with salt and rub the surface to get rid of the bristles (you can also rub it against a chopping board).
Submerge into boiling water for 1-2 minutes, and then leave in a sieve to cool.
Leave the okra in the sieve, not in water.

※ Boil quickly or smaller okra. ※ If you cool it quickly using a fan, the colour will be preserved. ※ If you don't rub salt on the okra, add salt to the boiling water. ※ If you are in a hurry, run cold water over the okra until cooled, and pat dry.
