No Eggs!  No Milk!  Chocolate Pudding

Here's a chocolate-free pudding with a rich chocolate flavour. This is OK for people with allergies or who are on diets.

Ingredients: 6 small portions in ramekins

Soy milk
Non-sugar cocoa powder
2 tablespoons
4-5 tablespoons
Powdered gelatin


1. Soak the gelatin in 50ml water.
2. Heat 50ml soy milk in a saucepan, and just before it comes to a boil, add the cocoa powder and mix well with a whisk.
3. Top up the mixture with another 150ml of soy milk, and turn off the heat just before it reaches a boil. Add the sugar and gelatin and mix it all together well.
4. Mix in the last 200ml soy milk, and pour the mixture into ramekins.
5. Once the residual heat has dissipated, chill in the fridge, and once they've cooled and hardened, they're done.

Story Behind this Recipe

I thought of this chocolate-free dessert for my son, who is allergic to eggs and milk.
Even though it doesn't use chocolate, it's still rich and totally delicious.
