Light and Airy Cod Piccata

Piccata is so easy to make but still a great main dish, so it's really useful to remember how to prepare it!


6 pieces (200 g)
● Flour
3 tablespoons
● Salt and pepper
2 teaspoons
★ Beaten egg
★ Green onions (sliced very thinly)
2 tablespoons
Oil (for cooking)
1 tablespoon


1. Cut the cod into 5 pieces.
2. Mix the ingredients marked ● together, and sprinkle over the cod.
3. Mix the ingredients marked ★ together in a bowl. Coat the cod from Step 2 with the egg mixture.
4. Heat some oil in a frying pan over low-medium heat. Put in the cod, cover with a lid and steam-fry.
5. When the cod pieces have browned, turn them over. Put the lid back on and steam-cook until browned on the other side, and they're done!
