With a Little Effort Korean-Style Sushi Seaweed for Hand Rolls

For those who want to turn store-bought nori seaweed into Korean-style nori seaweed. How about trying this?

Ingredients

Store-bought nori seaweed
to taste
Sesame oil
3 tablespoons
Salt
1 teaspoon

Steps

1. Mix sesame oil and salt to make the sauce.
2. With the back of a spoon, spread the sauce onto the seaweed. Move the spoon over the seaweed as if you're writing a "M". (Do this on both sides).
3. Grill the seaweed over an open flame in a circular motion. Grill for 2 seconds on each side and it's done!
4. Slice into desired sizes.
5. If you need a miso sauce to put on your hand rolls, here it is. Recipe ID: 1892514.
6. I recommend salmon or yellow tail for the sashimi.

Story Behind this Recipe

We always use this method for preparing nori seaweed for hand rolls. This small effort makes the rolls taste so good!

In Step 3, there was no way I could take a picture while grilling it for only 2 seconds, so this photo was unsuccessful, and shows a tired piece of seaweed from too much fiddling.
