Refreshing Beef Steak Rice Bowl

Refreshing Beef Steak Rice Bowl

I made a double portion of steak rice bowl from a single portion slice of marbled beef.
The leftover fat from the meat is quite refreshing.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Beef (Cut into diagonal strips)
1 thick slice of meat for steak
Bean sprouts
1/2 bag
Grated daikon radish
1/2 ladle
Green onions (finely sliced)
to taste
☆Soy sauce
4 to 5 tablespoons
100-150 ml
1-2 teaspoons
Plain cooked rice
as much as you like

1. Stir fry the bean sprouts with a little oil (not listed in the ingredients). Next, spread out the sprouts on top of the rice in the bowl.
2. After taking the bean sprouts out of the frying pan, add in the thinly diagonally sliced meat and fry.
3. Arrange the meat on top of the bean sprouts once it is done cooking. Then with the left over oil from cooking the meat, add in the ☆ ingredients and cook until the sugar dissolves.
4. Once the sugar dissolves, add in the grated daikon and cook it briefly. Take however much sauce you plan to use on the steaks out of the pan.
5. Pour the soup that you made on top of the meat. Next top with the grated daikon that you put to one side, and add the sliced green onions for a finishing touch.
6. Tips: Take the soup made from cooking the grated daikon and mix with miso to make a miso soup. Just like how you see in the picture, add in the leftover sliced green onions as well.

Story Behind this Recipe

I made this because the slice of meat that I received was for only one person.
You can divide a thick slice of meat meant for one person into 2 and there will be enough, however I wanted to eat plenty until my stomach was full.
