Smooth Pudding Made in 5 Minutes with Basic Ingredients

All you need is milk, an egg and gelatin to make this smooth and creamy pudding. It's really simple, so you can even make it as a snack for kids.

Ingredients: 5-6 puddings

Milk
450 ml
Egg (yolk)
1
Gelatin powder
5 g
Sugar
40 g
Vanilla extract
as needed

Steps

1. Heat the milk until it starts to bubble around the sides (don't let it boil). Dissolve the gelatin in a bowl with 2 tablespoons of water.
2. Gently mix the sugar and egg yolk into the bowl from Step 1.
3. Add the heated milk and vanilla essence, and mix well.
4. Pour it into pudding cups through a tea strainer.
5. Let it chill in the fridge until it has hardened.
6. This is not so sweet, so add more sugar if necessary.

Story Behind this Recipe

I wanted to eat a creamy and delicious pudding, but heavy cream is expensive, and it has a short shelf life. So I came up with a recipe which doesn't require heavy cream.
This takes no time at all to make, so it's a great snack for my kids.
