Amazing, Unbeatable, Child-Pleasing Stir-Fried Green Bell Peppers

My children won't eat bell peppers, but overcame their distaste with this recipe! Amazing!

Ingredients: 2 to 3 servings

Green bell peppers
5 to 6
Salt (for boiling)
to taste
Sugar
1 teaspoon
Oyster sauce
2 teaspoons
Sesame oil
2 teaspoons
White sesame seeds
optional

Steps

1. Slice bell peppers into slivers.
2. Add salt and boil bell peppers for about 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Remove excess water with a paper towel.
4. Heat the oil, then stir fry the bell peppers in sugar, oyster sauce, then sesame oil (in that order), and sprinkle with sesame seeds before serving! There! You now have a perfect, child-pleasing bell pepper dish!

Story Behind this Recipe

I was troubled since my kids would not eat bell peppers! Then, at a lunch menu tasting event held at their kindergarten, I learned from the cook that parboiling the bell peppers removes the bitterness. I made it right away and was amazed!
We overcame the "I-hate-peppers" phase!!
