Clafoutis with American Cherries

Bake this when American cherries are in season.

Ingredients: 18 cm tart dish

American (sweet black) cherries
2 large
40 g
30 ml
White flour
40 g
Heavy cream
200 ml
1 teaspoon


1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Thinly coat the tart dish with butter.
2. Add the sugar to the egg and mix well. Mix in the milk.
3. Sift in the flour and stir well without forming lumps.
4. Pour in the heavy cream and mix by stretching it out. Stir in the brandy.
5. Place the de-seeded cherries into the tart dish. Pour in the strained batter and bake for 30-45 minutes. Once it has browned, it's done.
