Tofu and Cabbage Okonomiyaki

It's a quick and easy recipe and is perfect as a meal for dieters It's a low-calorie meal since it doesn't contain flour.

Ingredients: 1 serving

Firm tofu
1/2 block
2-3 leaves
Bonito dashi stock granules
2 teaspoons
Cheese and other ingredients
as needed
Okonomiyaki sauce
as much as you'd like
Mayonnaise (optional)
as needed


1. Add the tofu (without draining) into a bowl and mash. Cut the cabbage into bite-sized pieces, and cut your favourite ingredients as well.
2. Add the ingredients into the bowl with the tofu, and mix in the bonito flavoured dashi stock granules.
3. Transfer the Step 2 mixture onto a flat plate, smooth it out, then cover with plastic wrap.
4. Microwave for 6 minutes. When it's cooked, remove from the microwave, swirl the sauce on, and you're done.
5. It's ok even if the shape of okonomiyaki collapses after microwaving. Flatten it again along the shape of the plate, then it will go back to the original shape.
