Low Sodium Kabocha Squash with Soboro An Sauce

I just poured the thick an-sauce on top of kabocha squash. This is a great way of enjoying a savory dish without an excessive amount of salt You can taste the umami of the ingredients to the fullest.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Kabocha squash
300 g
1 tablespoon
Soboro an-sauce
1/2 small
Ground meat
100 g
1/2 tablespoon
☆Dashi stock
1 cup (200 ml)
1 tablespoon
☆Grated ginger
about 1 teaspoon
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon
1 tablespoon


1. Cut the kabocha squash into bite-sized pieces. Microwave to soften, and briefly stir-fry with the butter.
2. Making the an-sauce ☆ Finely mince the onion, and sauté until caramelized. Add the ground meat, and continue stir-frying until cooked through.
3. Add the ☆ ingredients, and bring to a boil. Stir in katakuriko slurry.
4. When the sauce has thickened, turn off the heat. Serve the kabocha squash on a plate, pour the sauce on top, and you're done.
