Boiled Macaroni in the Microwave

Boiled Macaroni in the Microwave

I cooked some macaroni in the microwave. Since there's no need to worry about the water boiling over, this is really a no-stress cooking method. You can use the macaroni for salad or in gratin.

30-40 g
3x the amount of macaroni

1. Pour the water into a microwaveable container.
2. Place the macaroni (1/3 the amount of water) straight into the container from the package. (Make sure they are completely covered with water.)
3. Microwave for 6 minutes at 600 W, uncovered.
4. Quickly cover the macaroni with a lid and let it sit for 6 minutes. Then it's done. (It will have a somewhat stiff texture.)
5. Drain the macaroni in a colander and let sit. It will become a little softer after sitting in the residual heat. If you soak the noodles in water and then drain, they will turn out a little stiffer.

Story Behind this Recipe

Using the gas stove is so much trouble, so I came up with a way to cook the macaroni in a microwave.
