Just 1 Frying Pan!! Easy Soy Sauce Flavored Flounder

My favorite way of preparing flounder is simmering it in soy sauce. The sauce is slightly sweet.

Ingredients: 2 servings

Flounder (I used flounder with roe)
2 filets
☆Water
150 ml
☆Sugar, mirin
2 tablespoons each
☆Soy sauce
3 tablespoons
☆Sake
1 tablespoon
Fresh ginger (thinly sliced)
1 knob

Steps

1. Put the ☆ ingredients into the frying pan and turn on the heat. Once it comes to a boil, add the ginger and flounder. Cover with a drop-lid (a light lid or similar that is placed directly on the contents) and simmer on medium heat until the liquid evaporates.
2. Serve on a dish, optionally top with thinly sliced ginger, and enjoy.

Story Behind this Recipe

Out of all of the times I have made this, I have finally settled on these amounts. Since all you basically have to do is simmer the fish in the sauce, it's really easy.
