Remove the membrane from the tarako. Add the tarako and cheese (if using cheese, cut it into small cubes) to Step 1 and mix.

I needed to use up some tarako.
After the potatoes have finished cooking, mash them and mix them while still hot. The texture will change depending on how you mash them. Personally, I recommend just roughly mashing the potatoes, so that they have some texture.
