Secret Technique to Peeling Boiled Eggs

Pour boiling water in a pot with eggs, and cook them for 7 minutes. Anybody can make soft-poached eggs easily. The shells will come right off.


Hot water
as needed


1. Bring water to a rapid boil in a kettle.
2. Place the eggs in a pot.
3. Pour the Step 1 boiling water into the pot to cover the eggs. Boil them for 7 minutes over medium heat.
4. Drain the water, and put the pot under running water for 5 minutes to cool.
5. Tap the wider end of the egg.
6. Crack, and peel the shell.
7. Wow! It just came right off.
8. This egg was boiled for 6 minutes.
9. The one on the left was boiled for 7 minutes, and the one on the right was boiled for 8 minutes.

Story Behind this Recipe

I used to put the eggs one by one using a ladle into a boiling water, but It was troublesome, so I created this recipe.
It's much easier to pour the boiling water into a pot with the eggs.
