Hawaiian Atsuage Poke

I tried recreating the taste of poke from the poke store that I frequent.
It's full of soybean protein.
This is healthy poke dish made with tofu.


about 350 g
Onion (medium)
Green onions (finely sliced)
as needed
4 squeezes
about 1/2 teaspoon
★Ichimi chilli pepper powder
3 pinches
★Sesame oil
about 1 tablespoon


1. Cut the atsuage into cubes.
2. Cut the onion into thin wedges.
3. Cut the green onion into thin rounds.
4. Add the atsuage, onion, and green onion into a bowl.
5. Mix in the ★ ingredients, and let it chill in the fridge so the flavour gets absorbed.
6. Serve on a plate and you're done.

Story Behind this Recipe

They just built a new poke section at the supermarket where I often go. I found "yakitofu poke" at this store and it looked delicious, so I bought a small amount to try. It was simple but tasty, so I tried making it on my own.
